Pop-up Pub
Tufts Dining will host a series of Pop-up Pub events at Hotung Café. These events are a pilot program to explore if having a pub on campus can enhance the student experience by creating a sense of community while giving students, faculty, and staff a place to gather and engage in conversations while enjoying beverages and a bite to eat.
The new Pop-up Pub is a combined effort of the TCU Senate and Tufts Dining with the support of the deans of the School of Arts and Sciences and the School of Engineering and the dean of students and chief student life officer for Arts, Sciences, and Engineering, and President Sunil Kumar.
The Pop-up Pub will be open to students of all ages, faculty, and staff. Those attending must have a Tufts ID to enter, and a government-issued ID to prove that they are at least 21 years of age to consume alcoholic beverages.
The menu, which will vary each week, will feature soft pretzels, sliders, nachos, wings, tacos, and other small bites. There will be a cash bar. Drinks will include local craft beers, ciders, hard seltzer, a selection of wine, and non-alcoholic beverages.
Tickets ($10) are required to attend Pop-up Pub events:
- AS&E students may purchase tickets via Tufts Tickets
- Others who wish to use Tufts Tickets must create a profile to do so.
- A limited number of tickets will be available at the Campus Center Info Booth for purchase via JumboCash
- Tickets may also be purchased at the door via cash, credit, or debit.
For Pop-up Pub attendees, beverages can be purchased using JumboCash (for non-alcoholic beverages), credit/debit cards, or cash (for alcoholic beverages). Food is free.
