Summer Dining
Summer Dining Operations Update
Each summer, Tufts Dining adjusts its operations to reflect significantly lower campus activity, reducing from 10 locations to 3. This allows us to focus resources where they are most needed while maintaining access to high-quality meals and services.
- This year, Dewick-MacPhie Dining Center will be offline for urgently needed repairs. To ensure continuous service, we will operate a modified Commons Marketplace in the Mayer Campus Center as our primary dining center May 20–June 28.
- Hotung Café and Kindlevan Café will remain open Mon-Fri, 8am–3pm to provide retail options in central and upper campus areas.
- Beginning June 28, we will shift operations to Carmichael Dining Center to support summer conference programs and increased residential occupancy.
We appreciate the community’s flexibility as we complete critical facility improvements and align our services with summer campus needs.

Allergens & Special Diets
At Tufts Dining, we focus on inclusive menus the entire year – including summer session. Please read below for information on navigating food allergies, celiac, and special diets while dining with us this summer.
- Our nutrition facts labeling, digital menus, and online menu website make it easy to find allergen and nutrition information for each dish.
- Boxed lunches will be clearly labeled with all ingredients and allergens.
- If you have an allergy outside the top nine or need more information, please make an appointment with the Tufts Dining Dietitian
