In Fall 2025, more than 1,050 Tufts students participated in our student satisfaction survey. Most respondents live on campus and use meal plans, offering valuable insight into everyday dining experiences.

What’s Working Well

Students consistently rate Tufts Dining at or above peer institutions for:

  • Friendly, welcoming service
  • Fast speed of service
  • Cleanliness, especially in retail locations

These are strengths students notice and appreciate.

Where Students Want Improvement

Students also shared clear opportunities to improve:

  • Taste, freshness, and menu variety
  • Value (meal plans and retail pricing)
  • Menu accuracy
  • Weekend and late‑night access
  • Clear dietary labeling (vegetarian, vegan, halal, gluten‑free)
