Tufts Plans

To enroll in a Summer 2019 Meal Plan, follow the “In Person” instructions below starting Tuesday, May 21, 2019.
Fall 2019 Meal Plan registration will be available sometime in May.  Thank you for your interest in Dining at Tufts!


Register in your SIS portal before 5 p.m. EDT on January 11, 2019.

Mail a completed Meal Plan Enrollment/Change Form before January 2, 2019, to:

Getting Started

You’ll need the following information to enroll in, change, or cancel a meal plan:

  • Student name
  • Tufts ID number
  • Current academic level
  • Name of desired meal plan (or indicate “no plan” if you wish to cancel)
  • Amount of initial deposit if requesting the JumboCash Only plan

Penalties and Proration

If you change your meal plan during the semester, your costs for the plan will follow our proration policy and may be subject to penalties. For more information on timing, please review our Important Dates.

When you make changes to your plan, proration for your previous meal plan will go into effect the Saturday of the week the change has been requested. For example, if you submit a change on a Tuesday, your old plan will be in effect until Friday. Charges for the new plan will begin on Saturday and continue through the remainder of the semester.

The penalty for changing plans after the semester deadline is 50% of the difference in cost between the two plans on the effective date of the change if switching to a smaller plan.

Emmanuel College Meal Plans for SMFA Students

How to Enroll in an Emmanuel Meal Plan (SMFA only)

Enroll in an Emmanuel College Meal Plan using your SIS portal no later than the semester deadline:

  • Fall semester – August 27
  • Spring semester – December 30

In order to participate in this meal plan, you will need an Emmanuel College ID. Once you are enrolled, your Tufts information will be provided to the Emmanuel College ID office. You may then visit the Emmanuel Security Office located in room 136 of the Administration Building (400 Fenway, Boston) to pick up your ID.

How to Change or Cancel Your Plan

You may change or cancel your plan at any time by contacting Tufts Dining. Used meals will be deducted from your credit and there may be up to a three-day lag time while your request is processed.
