At Tufts Dining, we take food allergies seriously. This guide contains useful information and tips specifically for how students with food allergies and intolerances can recognize food ingredients to avoid what they are allergic to and eat safely while at Tufts.


Students on a vegetarian or vegan diet will find a wide variety of options at Tufts. It includes vegetarian nutrition information and information on how to use the Food Facts Cards to easily identify vegetarian and vegan selections throughout campus and especially in the dining centers.


At Tufts, we do our best to accommodate students who have special dietary needs, including those with Celiac Disease, who must avoid gluten. Dining with Celiac Disease – A Guide to Gluten-free Dining at Tufts is full of information on how to search for gluten-free choices in our database, how to identify gluten and hidden sources of gluten in dishes being served, and it describes where additional gluten-free food is stored.
